Managing Director

He has served as Managing Director of PayPay India since May 2026, leading the organization's next phase of growth and innovation. After joining PayPay in 2019 following his experience at Paytm, he contributed to the development of core payment platforms and led a number of strategic engineering initiatives across the PayPay Group. Today, he focuses on strengthening PayPay India as a technical center, fostering deep technical expertise, AI-driven productivity, and close collaboration across Japan and India to deliver greater impact for the PayPay Group.

A Message from Managing Director - The New Chapter for PayPay India

PayPay is Japan's leading digital financial platform, serving more than 75 million users through a growing ecosystem that includes payments, banking, credit cards, securities, and many other financial services. As PayPay continues to expand its platform and create new value for users and merchants, technology has become one of the most important drivers of that growth.

Established in 2022, PayPay India was created to strengthen that technology foundation. More than an overseas development center, it is an integral part of PayPay's engineering organization, working alongside teams in Japan to design, develop, and operate products that support millions of users every day.

Over the past few years, our priority has been clear: build a strong foundation. Together, we have grown our organization, strengthened our engineering capabilities, established our development processes, and built trusted partnerships across PayPay and its group companies. Just as importantly, we have built a culture where ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning are part of how we work every day.

Looking back, I believe that foundation is now firmly in place. That is why I believe PayPay India is entering its next phase. Our focus is no longer simply on scaling our organization. Our focus is on scaling our impact. For me, this means becoming involved earlier, thinking beyond execution, and taking greater ownership of the products and platforms we build. It means contributing not only through engineering excellence, but by helping shape the decisions that create long-term value for our users and our business.

As we move forward, I want PayPay India to continue evolving into a technical center for the PayPay Group—bringing together deep technical expertise, reusable platforms, AI-driven productivity, and strong engineering leadership. At the same time, there are things I never want us to lose. Everything we build starts with the user. Everything we achieve starts with trust. And everything we accomplish depends on how we work together.

One Big Team has never been just a phrase to me. It represents the culture we have built across Japan and India—where different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives come together with shared ownership and shared purpose.

As Managing Director, my commitment is simple. I want PayPay India to be a place where talented people continue to grow, take ownership, and build products that truly matter.

If we can continue developing great people, I believe we will continue building great technology. And if we continue building great technology together, we will create an even greater impact for our users, for the PayPay Group, and for the future of digital finance.

Our foundation is strong. Now, together, we will build what comes next.
